(Miami, FLA Sept 18, 2014) – Perlman, Bajandas, Yevoli & Albright, P.L., a full service corporate law firm, is pleased to announce that that D. Porpoise Evans has joined the firm’s Miami office as a partner.
Porpoise Evans joins Perlman, Bajandas, Yevoli & Albright’s business litigation practice and will work out of the firm’s Miami office. He is a native of Kentucky and has worked as a litigator for the past 12 years.
Evans’ practice focuses on litigation and compliance, including ADA and FHA litigation, employment counseling and litigation, FCPA compliance and investigations (with an emphasis on African countries), and securities litigation, including FINRA arbitrations. He most recently was a shareholder in the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig.
He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2002 (as a member of the Order of the Coif), and received his A.B. from Brown University. At UM, Evans interned under U.S. Magistrate Judge John J. O’Sullivan and was recognized as a Certified Legal Intern by the Dade County Public Defender’s office.
Previous honors achieved include being listed as a Top Up & Comer by the South Florida Legal Guide; Legal Elite by Florida Trend; Rising Star in the Florida Super Lawyers edition of Super Lawyers magazine; 40 under 40 – Outstanding Lawyer of Miami by The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; and recipient of the inaugural Community Advocacy Award from the Dade County Bar Association.
Evans is authorized to practice in the state and federal courts of Florida.
