PBY&A litigators represent workers in sudden layoff of 60+ employees from Miami ad agency

Attorneys Brian Chaiken and D. Porpoise Evans are representing Jorge Espinosa in a class-action suit brought against Commonground/MGS, an advertising agency with locations across the country, including Miami.

The suit alleges that the mass and sudden termination of 62 employees at one time violates Federal employment laws, which requires a business to give employees at least 60 days notice of their termination, if the affected group of employees is more than 50. The 62 Miami employees were informed on a Saturday that they would need to clean their desks out by the upcoming Monday.
