Prior to joining the PBY&A team as an associate attorney, Aileen Carpenter litigated complex corporate governance and commercial litigation matters as corporate counsel for a popular energy drink company and as an associate at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP. Aileen specializes in defending and prosecuting cases involving RICO, unfair competition, trademark infringement, complex breach of contract, securities, conspiracy, and torts such as defamation. She has lived and worked on four continents and attributes her adaptable and creative litigation tactics to her international background. Aileen is also an active member of the D.C. Bar, Georgia Bar, and Florida Bar.

As part of her background, Aileen was a key leader at her former in-house position where she handled complex commercial litigation matters, conducted internal investigations, facilitated in the drafting of attorney general complaints, and provided advice regarding white collar crimes and corporate structure. She was also featured on Law360 for filing a complex lawsuit against a competitor. At her prior firm position, Aileen handled both transactional and litigation matters. She has drafted franchise agreements, subscription agreements, and purchase and sale agreements. Aileen is equipped to handle all stages of the litigation process and is no stranger to the court room. She has provided pro bono legal advice for the D.C. Bar’s small business clinic and advises small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs on starting a business, taxation, and other corporate structure issues and remedies.

Upon graduating from Emory University School of Law in 2019, Aileen was recognized as a 2019 Emory graduating woman of excellence due to her contribution to her law school’s mock trial team and securities enforcement specialization. During law school, Aileen assisted on two high profile matters: the Gabriel Fernandez case and the Atlanta public school cheating scandal appeal. She earned her undergraduate degree in 2015 from Florida State University.
