Christina Ahrens

Christina Ahrens is a corporate and securities attorney who represents private companies, founders, investors, and emerging businesses across a broad spectrum of industries in complex domestic and international transactions and regulatory matters. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, capital formation, securities offerings, and intellectual property.

Ms. Ahrens regularly advises clients in asset and equity acquisitions and sales, business combinations, and Regulation D private placements, including international transactions involving companies and investors across multiple jurisdictions. She also counsels companies on general corporate matters, including entity formation, operating and shareholder agreements, governance best practices, recapitalization, and ongoing regulatory obligations.

Ms. Ahrens frequently counsels boards and executives on corporate governance, fiduciary duties, and compliance with federal and state securities laws. She has helped clients raise more than $40 million in capital, obtain regulatory approvals from state and federal banking agencies including the FDIC and Federal Reserve, and navigate inquiries, examinations, and compliance issues involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, while guiding companies through complex corporate structures and restructuring matters that often accompany acquisitions and expansion initiatives.

Ms. Ahrens earned her J.D., with honors, from Florida State University College of Law in 2020, where she received certificates in Business Law, Professional Development, and Law & Justice. She earned her B.A. in English, with honors, from Florida State University in 2017.

Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Ahrens enjoys cooking, creative writing, and board games, and spending time with her husband and their cocker spaniel, Cinderella.

Prior to joining PBY&A, Ms. Ahrens practiced at a mid-sized firm representing public and private companies in securities compliance and capital markets matters, where she supported multimillion-dollar public offerings, prepared registration statements and prospectus supplements, and advised issuers on ongoing SEC reporting and disclosure obligations. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ahrens practiced at a boutique law firm in Tallahassee, Florida where she represented banks and other financial institutions and their acquirers in mergers, securities offerings, and regulatory matters nationwide, including preparing applications for and securing approvals from federal banking regulators in complex transactions. She also served as a law clerk at a national law firm, supporting securities litigation, broker-dealer compliance, and government relations matters involving FINRA, the SEC, and state regulators, including licensing, examinations, and regulatory disputes.
