Emma Fernandez
Emma Fernandez works in PBY&A’s Miami office as a foreign legal consultant. As a lawyer licensed in the Dominican Republic, she focuses her practice in the areas of international, cross-border business transactions and general corporate representation in the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America.
Before working for PBY&A, Ms. Fernandez worked for the preeminent law firm Castillo y Castillo in the Dominican Republic helping a buyer acquire one of the top fuel companies in the country. She also helped major financial institutions with credit transactions and negotiated and structured several acquisitions and joint ventures.
Ms. Fernandez received an LLB (magna cum laude) from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in the Dominican Republic in 2004. She holds a master’s in banking and finance (magna cum laude) from Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF) in Madrid, Spain. She is a member of the Dominican Bar Association and speaks English and Spanish.
