Ram Shastri
Ram N. Shastri is a Tax, Trust, and Estates Attorney at PBY&A. His practice focuses on estate planning, tax, international tax, trust and probate administration, tax controversies, and charitable planning. He advises domestic and international high-net-worth individuals and families in the implementation of tax efficient estate plans, the implementation of asset protection strategies, and charitable planning. Additionally, he assists individuals and families through the probate process and provides counsel to them regarding trust administration matters. Mr. Shastri advises domestic and international individuals and business entities on income tax matters related to various transactions. He also advises individuals and business entities on their U.S. tax reporting and compliance obligations, as well as the preparation of certain U.S. tax reporting and compliance forms. Finally, Mr. Shastri assists individuals and business entities in tax controversy matters.
He is particularly passionate about international tax, and has extensive experience assisting clients, especially from the Latin American region, Canada, and the EU, in implementing tax efficient strategies when investing or immigrating to the US and assisting them with their US tax compliance issues. He also assists U.S. clients in implementing tax efficient strategies when investing in or expatriating to different jurisdictions around the world and assisting them with their U.S. tax compliance matters.
